Early Years

At the Faith School Early Year programme is based on the following principals.:

1. That the purpose of early years’ education is to help children develop skills and attitudes required at this level and throughout their lifetime.

2. That the children need a wholistic educational experience without artificial, boundaries between different developmental areas; and that play an essential part in children’s learning and general development.

3. Early Year learning focuses on four different stages: the first stage is “independence” which is mainly concerned with children’s personal goals and their relationship with other children. The second stage is primarily which is about “developing skills in communication” which includes speaking, listening, reading, writing, early number work and expressive art. The third, stage is “exploring” which develops children’s inquiry skills. The fourth, stage is “Healthy living” which encourages children to understand how to  lookafter themselves and others. All of these stages help to develop student’s knowledge skill and understanding to improve their ideas.
